For 50 years, Packaged Facts has been a leading publisher of market research in the food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, and demographic sectors. Our comprehensive, timely, quality research and presentation of market intelligence have made Packaged Facts a premier source of market information for top industry decision makers.

Founded in 1960 by David A. Weiss, Packaged Facts first began collecting market research data for advertising and public relations agencies. Gradually its customer base grew to include major corporations in the consumer products field seeking not just market data, but also competitive analysis and forecasts, for development of new products and marketing of existing ones.

By the 1980s, marketing executives from consumer goods companies, including Procter & Gamble, H. J. Heinz, and PepsiCo, commissioned Packaged Facts to prepare custom-tailored studies. In response to growing demand, Packaged Facts broadened its coverage of major and niche consumer markets and began publishing its industry-focused studies in their current syndicated format.

In 1998, Packaged Facts was acquired by MarketResearch.com. Packaged Facts continues to be the leading publisher in the United States of market studies on consumer products.

Don Montuori, Vice President, Publishing
Don brings two decades of publishing experience to his role of publishing vice president at MarketResearch.com. For five years he was the publisher of our flagship brand, Packaged Facts, where he expanded the food/beverage and personal care verticals, and developed our industry-leading pet vertical. He now oversees MRDC’s publishing operations, which includes the four syndicated report brands (Packaged Facts, Kalorama Information, SBI and Simba Information) and custom research.

David Sprinkle, Research Director and Publisher
David Sprinkle, Research Director and Publisher As Research Director for MarketResearch.com's publishing department, David combines his research and communications skills to keep information flowing to our team of market analysts, and plays a key role in generating and contracting for consumer and product data for our publishing and custom research operations. As publisher of Packaged Facts, he sets the direction and editorial calendar for our industry leading line-up of consumer market and shopper insight reports, as well as managing Packaged Facts' online consumer survey program. In this context, David frequently presents at key industry events and contributes articles to leading trade journals. Recent conference presentations include All Things Organic, Focus on the Future, GOED (Global Omega EPA/DHA) Exchange, NASFT Summer Fancy Food Show, National Confectioners Association State of the Industry Conference, and Tea Expo East. Recent trade journal contributions include Candy and Snack Today, Food Product Design, Natural Products INSIDER, and Progressive Grocer. Prior to MarketResearch.com, David worked a dozen years for the Marigny Research Group (New Orleans) as an analyst, editor, and research coordinator for consumer product and demographic reports. He also taught business communications at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business, where he earned his MBA.

Emil Salazar, Market Analyst
Emil joined the publishing team following major contributions to several market reports published under Marketresearch.com.  With his skills in report production, market research, economic and industry analysis, Mr. Salazar continues in his role as a market analyst while also assisting with marketing and content generation. Emil has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley.

Daniel Granderson, Assistant Editor
Since joining MarketResearch.com in 2008 to work across the company’s four syndicated report brands, Daniel has utilized his background in writing, copy editing, proofreading, and communications to ensure the overall quality of Packaged Facts reports and to keep the media up-to-date on the brand’s latest market findings.  Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis on print journalism from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University).
