An article from Progressive Grocer cites Packaged Facts' research on the pet supplies market in the U.S. According to the research, the mass-market pet food sector remains resistant to store brands. However, private label is advancing in the non-food pet supplies market, fueled by the struggling economy. While mass-market sales of non-food pet supplies grew by 1% during the 52 weeks ending in May, store brand sales expanded by 15%.
