An article appearing in the The Los Angeles Times about the rise in gluten-free food and beverages cites Packaged Facts’ recent report on the topic. According to the findings in our report, Gluten-Free Foods and Beverages in the U.S., the market will reach $4.2 billion this year. Growing 28% annually since 2008, we predict it will exceed $6.6 billion by 2017. The largest segment is composed of gluten-free snacks and granola bars with a 15% market share, and about 18% of adults claim to be avoiding gluten.
