The Wall Street Journal penned an article on recent anti-trust actions against French companies Nestle, Mars Inc. and Colgate-Palmolive on price fixing their pet food products. The article cited Packaged Facts market sizing of the pet market, which will grow to more than $70 billion by 2014, up from $53 billion in 2009. The article also quoted pet food analyst David Lummis, who noted people today are spending record high amounts on pet products.
